Jhapa, In the past month of Asoj, multiple areas across Jhapa district were hit by severe flooding, displacing hundreds of families and damaging homes and infrastructure. On October 4, heavy rainfall led to the overflowing of several rivers, inundating at least 450 houses across the district.

In immediate response to the disaster, Sahara Nepal, in collaboration with partner donor organizations—including Habitat Nepal, ACF, Fairmed, and others—has begun distributing vital relief materials. Affected communities have received hygiene kits, food items, and other essential daily supplies.
