Project Background

‘Strengthening the Disaster Resilience Capacity of Housing Solution’, the USAID funded project is a part of the USAID/Nepal Tayar Nepal- Improved Disaster Risk Management (DRM) Project (the project which is being implemented by DAI Global LLC). The project has been designed aligned with Tayar Nepal’s two-pronged stronger systems + Safer Settlement Approach that strengthen institutions and capacities at the national, provincial, and local levels to strengthen Nepal’s resilience to natural and non-natural disasters.
Sahara Nepal, a national NGO located in Jhapa, Nepal, is implementing the project in four municipalities: Damak Municipality and Kamal Rural Municipality in Jhapa District Rajapur Municipality in Bardiya District, and Lamkichuha Municipality in Kailali in the period from19 October 2020 to 15 October 2021.
